New computer=New blog?
If you want to check it out this is the link: Here
Let me know what you think If it goes well i might switch over to .mac
As far as the new computer goes.... I love it so far. there are a lot of things that i will have to get use to such as...
No right click. For you pc people try not right clicking for a while i dare you. You will find it very hard to do.
Not knowing the keyboard short cuts. Imagine if you will some one came in one night while you were sleeping and took all the keys off you key board and remapped them. so if you hit the G key the number 9 popped up on the screen and so on and so on.
The keyboard itself is different that should not take long to get use to as i have several other computers that i use that all have different keyboard. the one big difference that this keyboard has that is total cool is back lit keys. When the room gets dark they keys light up automatically.
any way, i wrote a bunch more on the .mac blog so check it out.

Boot time. I push the on button and in 30 sec i am using the computer. that is going to take no time getting use to. i am however going to have a hard time starting my pc from now on.
It was explained to me the way you use a mac is to think of the easiest way to do something and that is probably how it is done. So far that has been my problem. After having to fight with my pc to get it to do what i want it just seams to easy to drag what i want where i want it. Easy just makes no sense to me.
So to recap and not bore you to tears:
one day on a mac=lovin it, not sure why i waited so long.

News van:
You will all have to find a new land mark to find my house. We sold the News Van yesterday and although it is still in the drive way this morning it should be gone soon. (at least it better be). I will miss that van unlike my wife and neighbors. I had high hopes of one making it into my dream work van, however money or lack there of and time have prevented me from working on it. So off it goes to someone else's drive way. I will now be able to pull directly in to my spot in the garage rather than driving a round the van and avoiding my wifes car. That should be new and interesting.

Good Bye van.
End of Show/New computer
Funny thing about working in the film industry, you can either have time or money but never both at the same time.
I have been trying to get a video done to post of our time on Hell island but my computer has been giving me a lot of problems. It is time for a new computer, and between you and me i think my next one is going to be a mac.(more on that later). Hopefully i can get that done in the next day or so. Here are some teaser pics till the vid is done.

I need a new computer. if you know me at all you know that i usually have the latest greatest in tech all the time. It has been 5 years since i have bought a new computer (for my self). i have been patching up and fixing my old computer for so long that i think it is time just to give up on it and get a new one. the one thing i am tired of doing is having to learn how to be a programmer and A+ certified tech just to use my computer. I think it is time i go Mac. I just want to USE my computer. I have been Pro pc for a very long time, but now the the new tech of being able to have windows on your mac i hope to have the best of both worlds. there are some programs that i have to use on pc so i cant abandon pc totally but it will be nice to have a computer that i don't have to fix or repair before i can email or make a video. Now the big question what can i sell to get enough for a new computer.

Staples Removed! (Not for the faint)!
Last Monday after a really hard long day at work i came home tired and quite dehydrated. Some time just before midnight i got up to use the bathroom and past out on the floor, just before hitting my head on what we think must have been the counter. Melissa heard the loud thud and asked me where i was. I responded, "I guess I'm on the bathroom floor." After crawling back in to bed she asked me if i was ok, and i answered yes before i put my hand to my head. when i removed my and and felt blood i quickly retracted my first answer. This is the point where things get a little fuzzy for me cuz i don't remember much. The first thing i remember after this is Melissa telling me that she has the paramedics on the phone and they are in route. This quickly brings me back to reality as an ambulance ride probably cost $1000 or more. I tell her that i am fine and we have a quick conversation and she decides i am ok enough to drive me to the emergency room.
At the emergency room they gave me a Mt. Dew iv to rehydrate me and 9 staples to seal my wound, well 10 but they took one out because the gun misfired and did not crimp all the way. And i'm not kidding about the Mt. Dew iv, there are pics below to prove it. Mom will be so proud.Anyway the staples came out tonight which makes me happy cuz now i might be able to get some sleep. Just for fun try putting somthing sharp in the back of you head and try to go to sleep, you'll see what i mean.
You may want to skip the pics if you are faint of heart, they are not gory but if you don't like blood they might not be your thing.

Mt.Dew iv (I told you I wasn't kidding)
Staple gun they used to put them in.
This is where is gets a little intense so stop looking now it you don't like head wounds.!!!!

If you looked anyway and are saying to your self right now why did i look, don't say i didn't tell ya.
Movie Glam!!??

Let me tell you a little bit about how glamors it is to work in the Movie business..... Today we were shooting out at the island. On days when the temp. is below 60 deg. this is not a bad place to be, however, on days like today at 78 deg. the bugs come out in numbers I can not describe. Not with words that help you to understand anyways, but i will try. To start with EVERY, and i mean EVERY person on the crew was wearing full bug gear. By gear i mean bug hoods, bug gloves, bug pants, you name it they had it. At certain times of the day you had to wipe your hood clean of bugs just so you could see. i know you think that i am egagerating but i kid you not this is the case. At 10:00am I text Melissa, this is an exact quote "I need a full bug suit. Can you see what you can find? *COST*-NO OBJECT". She is toataly awesome by the way, she found one and picked it up for me to don tomorrow. Hopefully this will help with the bites. I am still recovering from the ones i received last week. So back to the point, imagin 125 people in full bug gear standing around for 13 hours being eaten alive by bugs, on a mountain with sharp gaged rocks and dangerous cliffs filming what will consist of about 25 secs. of screen time. Still sound glamors?
The day was not all bad. i did have a lynx jump in to the back of my Suzuki Samurai and hang out for a bit till the animal trainer could coecs him out. Once they got him out he decided he was done and took off. The trainers spent the better part of a half hour chasing him down and catching him. After all that the lynx would not come out of his cage becouse the salt from the lake hurt his paws, so we did not even get the shot we spent half a day trying to get.
I got to do some four wheelin in the samurai till i got stuck and had to have transpo try to pull me out at which point they got stuck. There are usualy no roads that lead to where these people decide they must shoot. Most of the time i don't even know how they got there to decide thats where they absolutely must get that shot from.
At the end of the day we build a rig on the side of the cliff so the effects guys could blow some stuff up. All the while fighting off a massive onslaught of bugs.
Here are some Glam pics.
Lynx runnning away.

Crew in bug gear, this was a 9:00am, before the they came out in FORCE.

I will give you a little warning, I don't spell good and my grammar is shit, oh and some times i swear. On ocation i might drone on about meaningless things, but i guess in the end blogs are for the people who create them not for the reader despite what we all tell our selves.
So have fun and feel free to comment on my posts.
