Some Things To Think About
01/25/2009 11:43 PM

If one works for 18 hours a day for 6 days in row, sleeps for part of the 7th and starts the cycle over again, How long will it be before they are dead?
When things change that are out of ones control but effects that person dramaticly, is it irresponsible of that person not to try and track down the person who caused the change and have them killed?
Is it OK to ask WWDVD? (What Would Darth Vader Do)
If Cows did have guns, would we be in trouble?
If the train left the station with 6 passengers heading west at 7pm, would you even care if you weren’t on the train?
I believe I have given you some good questions to think about. Take your time, and don’t be to quick to answer, as you might be wrong.

At What Point Did Work Become Life?
01/11/2009 12:05 AM
i began to wonder to day as i rolled out of bed after working till 5am this morning to a ringing phone call about work-” When did work take over my life?”
I started tracing back this show-
October 8th- I drove in the the L.A. Valley, and decided to stop by the new office where i would be working to meet my boss and friend for a run down on the show. I ended up staying there most of the day and working.
For the next two days i worked for about 10 hours a day, little did i know, that was going to be the most calm two days of the whole show. That weekend i spent time hanging out with family that lived close, not knowing that i would be a long time till i was able to see them again. For the next 3 weeks i worked 14-18 hours a day, 7 days a week. (just a note- I am Salary, so i don’t get over time. I get paid for 5 days week. Insert expletive here. some one should have negotiated a better deal.)
November, sometime- I decided i had to see the ocean. So i told every one they would have to figure out a way to make it happen with out me for one Sunday, and if they couldn’t feel free to fire me. I drove to the Santa Monica Pier in the rain, yes rain. i did not care at this point, rain, sun whatever i was not at work. So i had a day off. Back to work. For the rest of Nov. some times i would get a Sunday or Saturday that i thought i would have off only to get a call at some point in the day that would land in in the office fixing something or making sure things got done.
Nov. 22nd- My bosses wife was in town and came to the office. We talked for a bit, and she knew right away that i had to get out of there. She bought me a plane ticket to go home for Thanksgiving. God Bless her. i was going to be able to go home for 4 days. (Two of those days i spent on the phone and computer working.)
Dec- Much like Nov. I will shorten this up a bit as i can see that is getting boring and i don’t care much to relive it all again. I was able to go home for 2 weeks for Christmas. that was nice. I did spend a lot of time working, but i did have free time to spend with my family.
Jan.- Back to spending all of my time working.
So far Christmas day was the only day since i started the show that i did not received a phone call or email about work.
I have done a lot of shows that took up a lot of my time but i have never done a show that was as all consuming as this one. If you have been wondering why i don’t have time to blog any more, i hope this helps to answers that.
i have an analogy as to what my position in the company is- I am the ships mechanic. I don’t steer the ship or decide where it goes or how it gets there, my job is to keep it running and afloat so that the powers at be can run it aground time and time again.
So to answer my title Question- October 9th.
