Ahh! How i missed it.

Back on a Bike.....by the ocean!

Night hawk PCH

Because i now sit in traffic 3 hours of my day i was looking for ways to cut down time or make my commute more enjoyable.
With a gracious deal offered to me by my cuz i am now abel to do both at the same time. My deal included teaching cuz how to ride the bike she is lending me. To her this seams like a benefit that only helps her, however i know better. Once she learns to ride, i have an instant riding partner. So i Benefit both times. Win-win situation for all.

It has been a while since i have been able to ride and i had forgotten how much i love it. I will say that it is a lot different riding in California. There are a lot more people to watch out for and people in car here are generally more stupid than most. a lot of people here feel that they in fact can read the paper and eat a bowl of cereal on their way to work. I know you think i must be exaggerating, but i assure you that i am not. there are good things about ridding in CA though, like lane splitting. Lane Splitting is being able to ride between cars in traffic. I was hesitant at first, but did not take me long to feel like a sitting duck in traffic. when you are on a motorcycle in CA it is less dangerous to keep moving. So you can keep moving by riding up the middle of the traffic lanes. and this cuts down on time, which is great.

Last weekend i rode up the Pacific Coast Highway. WOW! We live in such a beautiful country. Riding next to the ocean was something i have always wanted to do. it was great. i hope to one day ride all the way up the PCH. I did forget about the sun for a min, and burnt the hell out of my arms. at the time i was wearing gloves and i now have a really weird looking sun burn on my arms that starts at my wrists and goes up.
